about.

about.

Born in Chicago in 1981, I had the privilege of growing up in a family deeply immersed in the local art scene, fostering a lifelong appreciation for creativity and culture. Traveling and exploring nature became integral parts of my upbringing, instilling in me a love for diverse landscapes and the stories they hold.

After earning my BA in Anthropology and a Minor in History at the University of South Florida in Tampa, I continued my academic pursuits in Colorado. There, I earned my MA in Anthropology and Museum Studies at the University of Denver, delving into the intricate relationship between culture, history, and nature.

The backdrop of my childhood, rich in artistic exposure, laid the foundation for my commitment to education. This commitment took me to prestigious institutions such as Harvard University, the Smithsonian Institution, The Field Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History. These experiences not only broadened my understanding of cultural heritage but also fueled my desire to share knowledge in dynamic and engaging ways.

Beyond academia, my professional journey has been marked by a dedication to bringing cultural narratives to life. As a museum professional, I've curated exhibits and pioneered the integration of cutting-edge technologies for interactive displays, striving to make educational experiences immersive and accessible.

In 2011, I took a chance by moving to Austin, Texas, where I started a business and nonprofit to pursue my love for storytelling, nature, and education, infusing public spaces with meaningful experiences.

Beyond my professional pursuits, my love for nature and storytelling extends to my personal interests. While you might find me passionately discussing Star Wars, my animated conversations also revolve around other cinematic and literary realms, including Alien/s, Planet of the Apes, and Swamp Thing.
